      New Vision Plan Takes Effect 9/1/17     New Vision cards are in the mail and should arrive after 9/11/17. If you have Medical coverage, you will now have two cards, one for UMR/Medical uses and one for Humana/Vision. Your current Medical card can no longer be used for Vision coverage.

    On Tuesday January 16, 2018 at 9:18 a.m.Boston Fire Alarm recieved a call from 573 Washington Street in the Dorchester section of the city reporting a fire in the basement of a business. Box 342 Codman Sq was transmitted, engine 18 and Ladder 6 found a fire in the basement of a taxpayer. Eventually going to 4 alarms.

    This morning SB75, a bill concerning certain benefit changes in the 1977 Police and Firefighters Pension and Disability Fund, was heard in Senate Committee on Pensions and Labor. The bill passed out of committee with an amendment. The bill as amended sends it to the Pension Management Oversight Committee (PMOC) for further study this summer.

    The Taylor fire department resumed transporting November 15th 2017. Six years have past since transporting was stopped. Tfd ended 2017 with 8802 runs and with the increase run volume that transporting will bring we expect to have well over 10,000 in 2018. We are happy to have the chance to provide premium patient care from the time you call until the time you arrive at the hospital.
